Fantastic Food Festival.

Whilst at our fine dining experience the night before, we were made aware, by our wonderful waiter, of the food festival taking place at a local football ground the very next day. And after a night of ‘fantastic’ food we really couldn’t say no. So for a few hours we took in the sights, smells and tastes (and even a little sunshine!) of the festival.

Bumble and Bumble

Hi guys today I have a review for you of two Bumble and Bumble products. Now what do I know about Bumble and Bumble? Well apart from being really expensive, and I mean gasp out loud expensive, they are an American, luxury hair care brand, with a substantial hair lover following. However when I saw them in Boots a few weeks ago all I thought was, these look nice and I've heard of them so I'll give them a try.

Oh la la, La Senza!

A few weeks ago I was feeling the need for some new PJ's, and not just the normal fluffy Primark kind that Hubby calls 'Telly Tubby' pyjamas. I was in the mood for more Spring time bedtime attire. You know, not crazy sexy, but not Telly Tubby esque either. I was also in the mood for an exceptional shopping experience, and where better for this than La Senza?

I LOVE La Senza. I hadn't been in a while and had actually forgotten how much I love it (it's a lot)!. The shop layout is lovely and the customer service is exceptional! Those that have frequented this shop know that it is not the cheapest. I mean it's not Agent Provocater or anything, and you wont have to re-mortgage but it's definitely best to go in the sale, and I did just that.

Afternoon Tea.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of treating my gorgeous friend to afternoon tea at the beautiful Mitton Hall. Nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley you will not only find rolling hills, breath taking scenery and quaint country villages, you will also find the luxurious Mitton Hall. This country house hotel plays host to weddings, romantic weekends and 'town girls pretending they were posh for a few hours' afternoon tea. Lucky for us!

Molton Brown – Essence.

Hi guys and welcome to my first Molton Brown review. In all my years, and there have been a few, I can only remember owning one Molton Brown set. This was a travel shower gel set, bought on impulse, in-flight. You know what its like!. When you have that holiday feeling; there’s nothing else that you fancy on sale and they are a decent price. It just happens. This, however, was given as a present from my lovely mother-in-law (M-I-L). She had been on a working trip to Ireland and came home with this for little ol’ me. (thank you, mwah).

Now if you didn’t know, Molton Brown is a British company that first opened its doors in London 1973 as a hair salon. It is a luxury brand, which bases their products on a natural ethos which encompasses; never testing on animals, sourcing all their natural ingredients from sustainable sources and manufacturing 90% of their products in the UK.

Tattoo Tea Party 2013.

Two weekends ago, myself, hubby, the M-I-L and M-I-L BF (lol) all attended the 2013 Tattoo Tea Party. This is a tattoo convention that showcases what Britain and Ireland have to offer in the way of skin art and artists.

To let you in on a little secret, me and hubby LOVE tattoos, and we have started a generous collection ourselves. This is our second tattoo convention and the second time we have been to the Tea Party. The first time, I found the artist that I am currently having some work done with, Jen Talloola Maw @ Nemesis Tattoo. She is amazing! Check her out. Also on our first trip hubby had some work done by Tom Ruki @ Tenacious Tattoo, which looks awesome. So this year we were ready to be amazed, and find some new artists to add their creativity to our collections.

For those of you that have not been to a tattoo convention before, well you are missing out! It is definitely an experience, and not just one to be had by tattoo enthusiasts. If you like art in general you will be amazed, because not only do these guys draw, paint and sketch (like a conventional artist, so to speak), they then put this on someone's skin to be enjoyed for the rest of their life.

And this is what one looks like. Not dissimilar to most other conventions, just more 'colourful' people.

Glossybox.

Hi guys, for those of you who don't know, I am a subscriber to the surprise gift box company Glossybox. For £12.95 subscribers receive five products in a beautifully packaged box each month. These products can be either tester size or full products, it is luck of the draw and it is pretty exciting! It's like getting a present, but one which I pay for. All you have to do is sign up, complete a profile, so they know what you like, and eagerly await the postman. As well as all of this it is spectacular value for money, which you will see below.

I have two Glossyboxes to show you today, the Christmas box and January's edition. I think I'll start with the Christmas box because that makes orderly sense.

Christmas Box of Goodies.

Hi guys today I would like to show you this amazing collection of beauty goodies that my mum gave me for Christmas. I absolutely love getting a gift like this. I adore the fact that someone, (this being my wonderful mum) has gone out of their way to find little things that they think you will love, and packaged them all together in one gorgeous gift.

London Baby!

A few weeks ago, the weekend before my birthday to be precise, me and Hubby packed a small (very small!) bag each and hot footed it down to London. We have both been to London separately before but this was our first time together, and it was ACE! So here's what we got up to:

First stop Denmark Street where Hubby tried out a £2000 bass. He did not bring that home with him! Denmark Street is know as the British Tin Pan Ally and is home to wall to wall music shops.

Lush Gifts.

Hi guys this is just a quick post to share with you some lovely Lush treats that Hubby gifted me with at Christmas.

*Disclaimer – You might see a few gift posts cropping up over the next few months. I like to space them out so I can use the products first and so you don't get bored/annoyed with me telling you who they are from (got to give kudos to the gift giver!). Also it has just been my birthday. I know, my friends and family must be skint this time of year, but what's a girl to do?*

Shoes Glorious Shoes

Hi guys, it's me again. Today I would like to show you a few Christmas presents which I was lucky enough to receive this year. Anybody who knows me knows that I like shoes a little......... ok so it's more like an addiction. I see a nice pair of shoes; flat, high, sparkly, plain, and I'm like “ohhh I need those in my life”. So when Santa left me some shoes under the Christmas tree, needless to say I was too excited!
The first pair I'd like to show you today are my Hello Kitty Vans. Hubby picked these himself, as he does with most presents, and I have no issues with him buying me any item of clothing or footwear. He has really good taste and knows me so well!. These were from Office (I know because I saw the bag the day Hubby bought them) and are so cute! I love the print on them and Vans are really comfy to wear. The babies are a size 4, because I do in fact have child size feet, and they fit great. And these are going to be worn til the cows come home, and other such passage of time phrases.

Snow Boots

Today my snow boots finally got an outing. They were bought about two months back, when we had a freak one day snow fall. Which resulted in a two day ice rink forming only on my street, and me falling on my arse on my way to work. Which wasn’t the most enjoyable! So I got my boy scout head on and scooted over to Decathalon, vowing that I was going to be prepared for the next time my world was covered with the white stuff.
