Afternoon Tea.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of treating my gorgeous friend to afternoon tea at the beautiful Mitton Hall. Nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley you will not only find rolling hills, breath taking scenery and quaint country villages, you will also find the luxurious Mitton Hall. This country house hotel plays host to weddings, romantic weekends and 'town girls pretending they were posh for a few hours' afternoon tea. Lucky for us!

So there we were, drinking our champers (like you do with cake and dainty sandwiches, no?) and enjoying being thoroughly spoilt by the attentive and exceptionally well mannered staff. Actually I cant stress enough how amazing the staff were. From the minute we stepped in until the time we tore our selves away, they were courteous, meticulous and down right lovely. They made our few hours of luxury, relaxed yet very special. Well that and the food. Oh the food! It was incredible. Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, lemon cake, and home made scones with clotted cream and home made jam. I know what you are thinking 'ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh', and it was. And champagne, did I mention champagne?! So good!

What we wore. Well this is one of those occasions where a little more is expected in the wardrobe department. And there was no ice, snow or rain insight, let the heels and cardigans commence.

I wore a little Warehouse number, with Kurt Geiger heels and Per Una @ Marks and Spencer's cardigan.

And Vicky wore a cute dress from everythingfivepounds.com, with Newlook wedges and Primark cardi.

So here it is, our high-class, Saturday afternoon affair. I hope you have enjoyed and I will see you again soon.
